NEW: Ohio AG has filed a brief supporting the Dayton Daily News' lawsuit against the Dayton shooter's former school district. The newspaper, WHIO-TV and others are seeking his disciplinary records.
Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost filed a brief Thursday in case filed by news outlets for Connor Betts' school records.

Yost's argument mirrors the one I made when requesting the records from the district immediately after we learned he'd been disciplined in school: 1) FERPA doesn't apply anymore because he's dead; 2) Ohio public records law says the record is public.
