In La Lima, WCK continues providing meals & fresh fruit to families cleaning up after the hurricanes. Thankfully, water levels that were at nearly 6 ft have gone down—but what is left is mud as hard as cement. Many people in the community have lost everything.

The devastation is hard to comprehend — a community wiped away. We served shelters where families are staying & brought dry goods, cookware, shoes. We‘ll be talking with the Air Force tomorrow about sending more consistent food aid with helicopters because many roads are covered.

Jerson, Oneira & Fifi picked up hot plates of beef with rice & beans in Providencia. They told us about Hurricane Iota, or ‘idiota’ as they call it. “It took everything from us. It killed cattle & dogs. It looks like the hurricane shaved off anything standing on the island.”

Anna reporting in from La Reina, Honduras where a landslide from the hurricanes destroyed an entire town that 2,000 people call home. Some heard the ground cracking before & left early—others were awaken & ran. Thankfully, no one was killed. We're here to support with fresh meals

Meet Cynthia! 👋 She lives down the street from a WCK meal distribution site in Providencia. The first day we met her, she was shy while serving meals. By day two, Cynthia was waiting for us with her gloves on & she had organized a group of people to help!

Larieth (in a WCK apron!) is helping serve meals for 500 people in the south of Providencia. This is where most of the population lives—many have been unable to leave & now live in tents or shelters. Today's menu: Baked potatoes with chicken & veggie chop suey!
