And all preceded by a great door knocking session last night! Library being an important issue raised and it was good to be able to reassure people about the plans in place to keep it open.

A superb Team effort this morning, supporting the campaign in and the villages - hundreds of doors knocked on and lots of very useful feedback received on both local and national issues.

Here are my thoughts on the recent concerns relating to gritting in - an issue I took up directly with following various issues raised with me by residents. Fortunately, NCC have listened and action is rightly being taken to expand the gritting network.

I strongly support the measures announced by aimed at preventing knife crime. Too many young lives have been lost & our young people should grow up without fear of attack. These new measures are vital in providing new tools to tackle it, with a focus on prevention.

Great to visit in . I had a tour of the production floor to see the products they're making & met some of the hard-working staff. All-in-all, a very interesting visit!

This is such sad news, but a real relief to hear everyone is OK. I’ve sent a note to Camille today sending the best wishes of our whole community, and offering to help in any way I can to get this lovely rural, award winning shop back on its feet.

have always been clear, both in meetings with me, and in public statements and correspondence, that the UCC is to be kept open for three years, “as is”. I have sought absolute confirmation, but my understanding is the contract is what is known as a ‘2+1’ in the NHS.

Delighted that the UCC is to stay exactly "as is" for the next three years, and the boost to GP capacity, improving access, is also hugely welcome and will help to deliver on a key local priority raised on doorsteps. Very good news and a victory for local people!

No. I was talking about antisemites, racists, homophobes, misogynists, and all the others. It's deadly serious and I'm sorry you feel the need to be glib about it.

I asked about the moral responsibility that all those who hold public office have, to call out appalling abuse and online trolling. He rightly responded that there can be no moral relativism when it comes to abuse, whatever type it may be.
