    Not that any of it matters, but even when I disagree, I find Letterboxd user grades way more "accurate" than IMDb's. Example: On IMDb, TERMINATOR: DARK FATE has a lower score than GENISYS. That is *madness*.

    I'd wager Nolan follows Quentin Tarantino to Sony. They want big filmmakers and they don't have a streaming service. If not Sony, Universal. (Or Bond. If he was ever going to really direct a Bond movie, it would be the next one)

    Harrison Ford broke his leg, production shut down for a few weeks, and they were able to rework the movie. Daisy was a highlight and the rest is history. This is a luxury JJ didn't get on THE RISE OF SKYWALKER, where they were in a mad rush to make their Dec 2019 release date.

    Time is everything in production. A week into shooting THE FORCE AWAKENS, Rey was still Kira and Daisy Ridley nearly got fired. (I heard a story of Peter Jackson seeing dailies while visiting the set and being stunned by how bad she was) But by the grace of God...

    Finn's role over the trilogy is disappointing because of how great Boyega is in TFA, but it's THE RISE OF SKYWALKER that limited him to a background player and gave him no arc.

    Because Poe survived THE FORCE AWAKENS and what was supposed to be a Rey-Finn-Kylo story now had to make room for Rey-Finn-Poe-Kylo.

    John Boyega’s Finn was setup as the male lead and co-protagonist of the sequel trilogy. That’s not an opinion, that’s not a headcanon, that’s a literally fact. He was set up to be equal with Rey & Kylo’s foil and we all know why that changed.
