This week's Stupid Accordion Tricks cover song video is up, celebrating the end of this year's Festival with Oingo Boingo's "Goodbye, Goodbye" from the closing credits of 1982's Fast Times in Ridgemont High.

When you're done earning income from your game, please set it free.

Breaks my heart when old game developers, seeing I've documented their freeware from the early '90s, look me up to ask if I still have registered copies of their games to share with them. Circulation control: it's a mother.

If you have online friends circa the turn of the century, bring them along! And if you don't remember the password for your old account... just make a new one!

Friends, fled noders and Everythingians: please consider joining me on the improbably still-existent [Everything2] tomorrow to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the great E1 import. I plan to not only use flash photography in the museum, but to touch the exhibits.

That's a lot of Sundays. Probably a few Friday nights also.

The strange thing about three-day weekends is that somehow you never manage to get two Saturdays out of it, always two Sundays instead.

Thanks for signal-boosting my new video of Elvis Costello's "Tart" -- I record a new accordion cover video every week, since January, so if you like one of them you might like more 8)

The specific texture of the distortion is highly reminiscent of the soundtrack to the meteor levels of Pixeljam's game Dino Run.

Hey, if I take 99 duds for every worthwhile photo... digital camera shots are cheap and quick, I think it's still worthwhile.

I'm always that idiot who's like "wow, what a spectacular sunset! See that moon? Hey everybody, check out the rainbow over there", then whips out their phone in some optimistic but misguided attempt to capture a piece of it. It never works, and I know it…

Hey gang, the accordion festival I've been working on all year is coming up next weekend, Nov 15-16. If you can't attend, at least please consider spreading the word! (Though hopefully this video promo clip will help to build the case for attending 8)

To the likes of you or I, it's simply a drainage ditch... but the folks at the Southlands Farm must have some inside knowledge explaining why they treat it as a pumpkin disposal conduit.

This week's Stupid Accordion Tricks cover video is up. RIP Ric Ocasek, it's The Cars' "Just What I Needed" from 1978. An accordion version of that song may not in fact be just what you needed, but here it is regardless. Enjoy!

I spotted a Santa out and about while trick-or-treating on Halloween and gave him a hard time for not being able to hold back another 16 hours. Fast forward to 11 a.m. November 1st when I hear the first Christmas music being played at work!

I can well imagine their trying to cram in every last idea and loose end into 5, knowing that this would be their last step up to bat for a good long while.

Do the maps from 2 meet up? I thought the caravan bridged two separate portions of the game. Wait, you mean the city map, right! That game felt like a whole little world, absolutely. I played it off of floppy disks!

In conclusion, well done you two! Plenty of games don't warrant a reply decades down the line and I feel that these ones probably still do.
