Knowing how the tech works will make you a better designer. You have no business designing a solution if you don’t understand the current lay of the land. Doesn’t mean you can’t try new things, but you can’t design as if anything is possible, bc there are always constraints.

We made a mistake today that meant you couldn’t buy a conference ticket without signing-up to a mailing list. Sorry everyone. This is fixed now, so if you were (quite rightly) put off by this requirement, you can now buy tickets without subscribing
