The 64-foot tug Fish Hawk has been refloated and is safely moored. Approximately 5,000 gallons of diesel fuel was removed from the tug before being refloated. Haul out and inspection facility plans are being coordinated.

Winds on Sunday night reported ranging from 33-40 knots with 3-foot choppy waves. Coast Guard Sector Puget Sound Incident Management Division members on scene monitoring situation. Owner of vessel plans to re-float vessel at high tide and assess potential damage to vessel.

64-foot tug Fishhawk, owned by Alaska Logistics LLC, ran aground near Port Orchard on Sunday night due to high winds and rough sea conditions. Vessel stuck in mud and sand. No immediate threats to environment have been reported at this time.

A aircrew conducted a medevac of an injured logger, off Coos Mountain, Friday afternoon. The crew, aboard an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter from Sector North Bend, safely hoisted the man, who had reportedly been struck by a tree. Read More Here:

A Sector Columbia River aircrew medically evacuated a 48-year-old Filipino man off the motor vessel OOCL New York, which was transiting 85 miles of the Washington Coast. He was transferred to Columbia Memorial Hospital in Astoria.
