Sector Puget Sound received two false mayday calls on Sunday. Watchstanders used Rescue 21 towers to triangulate where the calls came from. 1. Whidbey Island 2. near Everett Marina. There are big consequences if caught making a false maydays.

Station Cape Disappointment 47-foot MLB crew rescued a sailor in distress 10 miles west of the Columbia River. The call for help came in at 5:03p.m. Boat crew arrived on scene at 6 and dewatered the boat. Boat towed into the Ilwaco.

Station Umpqua River boat crew, aboard a 47-foot MLB rescued a fisherman late Friday night after his 65-foot F/V Frank F became disabled and started taking on water. Emergency flares helped locate the fisherman and saved the fishing vessel.

Sector North Bend aircrew rescued a 73-year-old man who was stranded near Drain, Ore., after he started running out of supplies while looking after a logging site. The man was safely hoisted and transported to Sacred Heart Hospital in Eugene.
