Joint naval exercises like this increase sailors' proficiency in conducting underway maneuvers and builds on relationships between partner nation sea services! This was the 1st at-sea engagement in recent history b/w a ship and a cutter in the Bering Sea.

Today is a day of remembrance for our nation. A day in which we reflect on lives that ended too soon, first responders who gave their all, and the resiliency of America.

Most of us remember exactly where we were on Sept. 11, 2001. Take a moment and read two different experiences from two Coast Guard members who experienced 9/11 in different ways.

Amazing work by the AIRSTA Humboldt Bay aircrew flying into danger last year and saving the lives of two firefighters injured and trapped by a wildfire. Great job by the public affairs team for telling the story about the aircrews heroics!
