I grew up in Phoenix, so we're just getting past a hot summer, and look forward to a cool winter. Up here it's the opposite; all the leaves die, it gets grey and gloomy, and my S.A.D. kicks in. I've lived in MN 20 years now and still haven't gotten used to fall/winter. πŸ₯Ά

I remember dad saying they could hear banging and cries for help for a couple of days after closing off those forward compartments... but then it stopped. They had to ask for volunteers to recover the bodies, and had to fumigate the entire ship when they finally got to dry dock.

... time with me and for us to get to know each other... she needs to forget about me. And if she just can't stop thinking about me... then she needs to take a look deep down and decide if this thing with her and I is just a game... or if I mean more to her than that now.

I've told her countless times that if she's still with her boyfriend... she needs to forget about me. If she's going to let the clock run out on the situation with me and her... she needs to forget about me. If her feelings for me aren't strong enough to want to spend...

My dad's ship, the USS North Carolina... the most decorated ship of WWll (15 Battlestars), was supposed to be the ship that accepted the Japanese surrender, but since Harry S. Truman was from Missouri... BB55 wasn't granted that honor. Can the staff confirm this?

Wow. Shedding a tear right now thinking about dad. He served aboard the "Showboat" from her commission on April 9, 1941 as a 17 year old kid, and was in every battle she took part in. Dad would have been 97 next Tuesday. I really miss him.

Rush - Hemispheres (Cygnus X-1 Book ll) Happy Birthday Alex Lifeson! This album has a special place in my heart, as my mom and dad bought it for me sometime in '79. It always makes me think of them. Love that opening F sharp Major added 4th flat 7 chord.

Prison isn't the end of the world; Tim Allen Mike Tyson James Brown Mark Wahlberg Danny Trejo Are but a few celebrities who have done prison time. I served a total of 33 months, but it made me a better and more caring person, just like the people listed above. πŸ™

Harland Sanders didn't make it big with Kentucky Fried Chicken until he was 65. Actor Tony Randall didn't father his first child until he was 70. As long as you're on this side of the dirt... never give up on your dreams.😊

Darrell is considered the John Lennon of heavy metal, as both were shot and killed by a deranged fan on December 8th. I was born in April 1966, and had been a Pantera fan since 1985, when Dime was known as "Diamond Darrell". I took his death almost as hard as Randy Rhoads. πŸŽΈπŸ’”

The CNN documentary was really good. Amazing that even at the worst of alzheimers ravaging his mind... he could still play his solos note for note. Glen was one of my favorites. 🎸

The Gibson Explorer: A Short History. Sorry, I couldn't get this out earlier. Lots of concise, detailed history on the Explorer. Keith's other videos are great too. Please RT and share. Enjoy! 🎸

Actually, only 22 Explorers were shipped in 1958, and 3 in 1959. A few were made from leftover parts and sold in 1963. Total numbers are less than 50. "Five Watt World" channel on YouTube has an excellent video on the history of the Gibson Explorer.
