Hi. I've worked with Nolan. Chairs are not banned. He doesn't want CAST chairs on set. * They're elitist and saddles the prop department with subservience to on set comfort for producers and cast * They create a VIP lounge area that is 9 times out of 10 in the way of work

There is nothing ableist about it. Someone who needs to sit, cast or crew, young or old, pregnant or infirm or just tired can do so. He's just removed the established practice to make someone juggle around 20 clunky, heavy, finger pinching, ego strokers.

Yay viral! I don't have any kind of self promotion, but I just want to set some things straight: Hathaway wasn't complaining. Nolan wasn't punishing people. The thoughts as to WHY cast chairs are wrong are my own. Please wear your mask properly. Black lives matter.

Why not just have chairs for everybody though?

Where do you fit 200+ chairs on set? Who moves them when the camera turns around and is now looking in the other direction? Who breaks them down and sets them up at the next location? What vehicle do you transport them in between shoot days?

I've seen this headline three times now! It's stupid as hell to frame the story like that, then. The article I read didn't make any clarifications and just took the statement at face value.

It’s always the assistant managers, isn’t it? I’ve worked retail on and off for 20 years and it’s ALWAYS the assistant managers.
