what value do these funds believe they are bringing to the table? . in-depth industry know-how? . rigorous risk/reward methods? . 1/15 fees?

Fees are higher than 1/15. The pitch is that crypto is wildly inefficient so unlike equities you need a guide. I'll wait for crypto Vanguard

Hedge funds are private partnerships for accredited investors. They can invest in almost anything and don't need SEC approval.
