I think summarizing T&C is useful, but would it solve this? They would still have overly-broad legal phrases that 95% of users won’t understand implications of.
IMO, the best solutions probably exist at the OS layer, plus privacy laws for specific data types (like HIPPA/FERPA)

Sorry that I never responded to this! I agree those are the most effective solutions for this particular issue. And I think we agree that there is currently a general problem with T&Cs!
