Trek-Segafredo 2h
Replying to @Emils_Liepins
Working a sprint solo is no easy feat and took a few elbows to stay upfront and on a good wheel. He ended just outside the top 10, but he will get another chance (hopefully) tomorrow.

Coming into the final 30kms and the 2 leaders are close to being caught. It will be (more than likely) a sprint finish for Stage 9. A rare opportunity for , normally on lead-out duties, to try for his own sprint.

Our top finisher today was in 37th place. A good ride from the young ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡บ 22-year-old climber, who stated he is learning something new every day in his first Grand Tour.

Unfortunately wonโ€™t start todayโ€™s stage 8 due to gastroenteritis. Weโ€™ll miss our French climber dearly and wish him a swift and full recovery ๐Ÿ™

Woods has kicked off the front of the breakaway now. He has just over 30secs with 1500m to climb. Now Valverde attacks!

Lots of attacks in the breakaway that has reduced in numbers on this cat 1 climb. is still represented as the pressure is applied by a few antagonists. Behind the peloton has closed to just over 1 minute. ๐Ÿ 22kms and 3kms to the top of the climb.

Into the final 40kms and we have 3 leaders (including Valverde) and there's action (1st with ) trying to peel off the front of the breakaway that is around 30secs behind. The peloton is at 2mins and 17secs.

The lead breakaway is back together. 36 men in the front. To confirm we have 3 there: Elissonde, Lopez, and Eg.

Lots of action in Stage 7 as joined the breakaway and and joined the chase group that has now merged with the front. Currently, a large escape group of around 40 riders but the attacks are creating a new move...stay tuned!

3 long weeks have drawn to a close. It was not the result we sought when we began the Giro d'Italia but not for lack of effort or motivation. Read Vincenzo Nibali's and GM Luca Guercilena's final words in our report ๐Ÿ‘‰ ๐Ÿ“ธ
