Yes, Augrabies πŸ‘ŒπŸ½. Haven't personally seen it in flood yet. I've seen footage though that looks pretty amazing.

Moremi is absolutely beautiful. I wish we had had more time when we overlanded through the area. Definitely on the list for a more significant visit πŸ•οΈ

Been there, in a rural area in the Zambezi Region, Namibia. We got fuel after getting directions from various helpful locals to a shebeen with diesel in jerry cans in a shipping container. Quite a story 😁

The really amazing thing is how much help and support we have always gotten from neighbours and people passing by!

A4. πŸ‡³πŸ‡¦ In the Ossemwa (a stationwagon!) & had to get up Gamsberg Pass. Only 250km or so. Took over 7 hours! Not even the road grader survived that pass! As always was in great spirits. The joint pic is us finally at camp after a LONG day!

πŸ˜πŸ˜‰ A high lift jack. If you ever go to remote places with a 4x4, make sure you have one! And know how to use it safely!

A3. So many amazing far-flung places in SA. The is probably the most remote in terms of being in the middle of nowhere. Tankwa Karoo is also up there!

A4. We have had many incidents from a ceased wheel hub (probably the worst situation we've had), getting bogged in the mud, to 'almost' running out of fuel 😁. Plan properly, keep a list of people to contact, and be prepared to help out your neighbours!

A2 Save water and 'tread lightly' in the environment where you are camping. Shower with a friend... OR help a friend shower! :)

A3. We have stayed in many remote places, from Tankwa Karoo to Namaqua National Park in SA πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦, and the amazing Spitzkoppe in Namibia πŸ‡³πŸ‡¦ All loved, all with their own unique character πŸ‘ŒπŸ½
