Textbook box fold in the cliffs at Mupe. Stupendous forces that were once at play are now recorded in the rocks.

Lucky enough to go back to Mupe again today. A hot walk from Lulworth Cove but well worth it. Amazing structural geology on display. One of my favourite places.

I was scratching around on the beach at Charmouth today and found this stunning block of Ammonites... not bad considering we are currently in the summer holidays and there have been hundreds of people on the beach! These are approximately 190 million years old.

Was lucky enough to receive a copy of this excellent book today. I assisted the authors slightly with the Portland Stone section. An absolutely fantastic job and massively well put together. Highly recommended reading.

I've just finished building my first homebrew transceiver for many years (a ubitx). Really enjoyed putting this together. In the words of Tony Hancock: 'they can keep their Sistine chapels, give me the inside of a wireless set any day'.

Boris will be crowned PM tomorrow. He has been planning this for years. Twisting and turning. His well crafted 'buffoonery' is nothing but a clever, well practised mask and he is in fact a sociopath of the most dangerous kind. Yet another desperately bad leader for the UK I fear.

Protecting 2m should be the RSGB’s top priority. The loss of this band would set a terrible precedent for the hobby. A reliance upon well meaning volunteers may not be sufficient.
