Oh David, I am so very sorry and sad to hear of your loss. I will pray for you and your kids today as you continue this hard process of grief. These words are beautiful and honor what love you have for such a remarkable woman.

This scenario is unlikely but in all serious I'm hoping (and praying) that whatever the results of the election, that they are clear and decisive. I'm genuinely concerned about unrest if it isn't a landslide. (Which is not something I've ever worried about before).

Also if you are not an international follower (an American in America) can you not comment on or argue with any one on this thread? I just want to listen to voices in/from other places.

I'd love to hear from people from all over. Also, can you also mention where you are from?

So I have quite a few twitter followers who don't live in the US. I'm wondering what does this US election look like from where you are? What is obvious to you that we Americans miss? What does the US church look like from your vantage? What are our blinders? What should we know?

I get some kind of special thrill when I help people find a book they love that I also love. This is going to be a little bubble of joy for me today.

To clarify *this podcast conversation* is framed around Halloween and Covid and pulls in my book. My book is framed around a prayer in Compline and is framed around neither Halloween nor Covid.

Also, blessedly little about the election in this, so if you are sick of hearing about the election or *from me* on the election, this is a little respite. We talk about more uplifting things like....um, death. 😀

I was on the Quick to Listen podcast, talking about Prayer in the Night (my forthcoming book) and darkness, night, vulnerability, and mortality...It's framed around Halloween, darkness, Covid, etc.
