Meanwhile, South Dakota's positive rate is more than 50 percent! Wouldn't be writing a book about it yet, but I do think has earned a lot of credit for how he handled COVID-19. Despite some early mistakes, I think he's handed the crisis the best of the 50 governors.

Literally tens of thousands of people are dying because of GOP misinformation. One study tweeted found South Dakota had twice the percent of people who have had the virus as New York. That's beyond comprehension, given the early exposure New York had.

Here's a thing I want everyone to understand. There is a roughly 12-day lag between rising cases rising hospitalizations. So the 1.5 million (!!!) confirmed cases from the last 2 weeks have not yet factored into stories about packed emergency rooms.
