The pro AR-15 argument comes down to “preventing state tyranny.” In other words, “I need an AR-15 because one day I might have to mow down a bunch of U.S. soldiers. Don’t get me wrong, I support the troops. I just want to be ready to murder as many as possible if necessary.”

We ended our NRA membership in honor of the children. We ask that everybody ends their NRA membership to show the NRA, Congress, and Trump that what they are doing is wrong and we are serious. It's easy, effective, and to the point. Please retweet and let's get this done.

Oregon Dems flipped one crucial house seat and it's basically become a liberal utopia. Every vote counts...

And I don't have the answer. I am ignorant of gun technicalities. I know it's a hard problem to solve. But it shouldn't stop us from taking the first step. AKs, ARs, and the rifle you mentioned. Can we start there?

I absolutely understand there's nuance to be had, and many types of weapons to distinguish between. I'm personally opposed to hunting, so it's easy for me to say ban everything. But I suggest we start with guns/rounds/mags that "take a person's head off."

Needless to say, neither God in the OT nor Jesus in the NT said anything about Americans. Rather, Jesus told his disciples to "take no staff," when staffs were used as weapons (Lk 9:3). And he tells Peter to sheath his sword: "Who lives by the sword dies by the sword" (Mt 26:52).

Well not with that attitude, it won't ban guns. But the issue isn't as "divided" or lopsided in favor of guns. Even on Q of banning "assault rifles" there's 65%+ support. Other countries do it. It's not impossible. What criteria do they use?

Yep. Ban them all. I mean you had me at "will literally take a person's head off."

We should change the names of AR-15s to “Marco Rubio” because they are so easy to buy.
