Hey , Any chance you could tell the students in in to stop being silly and to just use their grant to pay for their rent or else consider a rural alternative? Oh wait, that’s not an option for most students.

The barriers are up and they’ve never been so high. It’s time we fought them down. See you on the streets in October.

Thanks to for hosting President and I today on the wonderful Magee campus. A great discussion on campaigns, national lobbying and how to address student poverty. Great to be back home, and to see the snazzy new graphics in the SU!

Incredibly disappointing comments from the Minister. Not all students receive grants, with many missing out by a couple of euros! Even those on the maximum grant struggle to pay their rent never mind covering additional costs. We need investment now!

It’s hard not to scratch your head in dismay when the leaders of our education system are not listening to students. Time and time again we have urged our Government to invest in education & housing, - it’s time to listen.
