It was an ebony stain. Few years back. Can't remember which brand or what exact product.

Bondo is great for this. In the past, I've used stained black bondo for knots in knotty alder doors and regular bondo on knots in cypress screen doors that were to be painted. It's great for how quick it cures and is ready to go.

This is another hangboard above doorway to bedroom. Other one hangs above doorway to shop. This one is simpler. Beveled top edge for slopers. Three 3/4-inch wide dadoed grooves of different depths: 1/4", 1/2", and 1". Made out of hickory because it was laying around.

Here's a bouldering wall in progress under house using plans. Will extend for 6 foot horizontal roof. To put ACX plywood and holds on this summer. Can't wait to try it out with my kids later this year.

Any woodworking climbers out there? Hang board made of poplar for strong fibers / no splinters. Dado groove (crimpers) forstner bit (pockets), amended for (sidecling) Sanded Bevel with sandpaper (slopers) Stair rail parts (pinchers) Chiseled out area (for fingertip nubs)

This project is pretty sweet. Check out the details of this metal and wood build in a guest post at 's website: Man, I like it.

Good points. I agree. Guess that wasn't in the budget.

I don't know. You can put the torch on it too long and it will ruin the epoxy, but quickly using the torch just gets rid of any bubbles that rise to the surface of the epoxy.

Thanks. I am not sure what you mean. Perhaps how it looks crooked? That's the angle in the photo. It's plumb and all.

Nice. About 1200 feet or so in my house and my knees had about enough fun.

This is cool. Not something I've really noticed or thought about before ( I think) but white looks pretty good with wood.

I had to look up scaffold board table. I know what that is but didn't know what it was called.
