Making him the only person fired as a result of migrant deaths. Sit with that for a minute.

He SHOULD be fired. That cartoon is an OUTRAGE. Trump would NEVER ask permission to play through, he would just do it.

Hope he gets another job right away, this is brilliant. Political Cartoons are supposed to be edgy and this one cuts right through a lot of wrapping

That is a wickedly clever editorial cartoon. Right up there with Herblock’s Nixon climbing out of the sewer...

The role of art is to be the mirror we are sometimes too cowardly to face. Someone posted his image during a chat and I was appalled, but because I had no warning. Otherwise, it's a brutal truth.

Some editor decided to let it run. What happened to them? Were they fired?

It wasn’t published in a paper. The artist put it on his website and Instagram.

He was also let go from all the NB papers just now :( (possibly also because of this cartoon?)

NB papers are all control primarily by one family, the Irvings... enough said.

Strong cartoon, but sadly, not untrue. Maybe he was let go because of disrespecting the deceased.

More like disrespected the business interests of the owners of everything in New Brunswick - Irving. (And no, saying that they own the whole province is *not* hyperbole)

Oil company primarily (or at least first), so... You're not wrong. Though I'm sure they'd be anything at all though if it made them money/gave them more power.

Thanks for educating me. I knew that it couldn't be a mischaracterization of Trump. Until, people truly open their eyes and get their minds off of themselves, we will not unseat Trump.

No problem. Unfortunately, things are slow to change in the Canadian Maritimes, & they may never do. I've lived here for over half a decade now (I'm American-Canadian), and the first couple years were eye-opening.
