Hi The rise in free and clear ownership is due to cash buyers not payoffs. That's why free and clear ownership rose right after the great recession. Mortgage debt was discharged via foreclosure and often the next transaction was cash.

My point is none of these metrics (mine or yours) will matter anymore and when they don't matter then it all comes down to price and when extreme price setting ensues the product becomes more commodified. Just like audio the high end of the market becomes a much harder sell.

No one knows power to weight ratio. The standard is test is HP or 0 to 60. Torque matters a lot more than HP, but no one knows what their engine torque is. They also don't know where it comes in on a Dyno test, which also matters. All they know is HP and 0 to 60.
