Hey! Someone I met at BSides London this year, where they were volunteering, is currently working as a cyber security analyst for a medium sized org and is looking for a new, possibly junior role working for a cyber security company. Are you hiring in London? DM for details.

Ever thought of writing a book about your experience with unschooling, and all the things you have heard that encourage you to not send them?

In the past I have dressed as Jack Skellington from Nightmare Before Christmas for Halloween. Think past 3 years? Working out an outfit for my son, and look what I found. I'm not planning to wear it this year, but perhaps he carries the torch...?

To all the WOC (women of colour) in the STEM community, could you please vote on these polls? Retweet when you're done! Thank you so much! Q1: Do you feel like your views are often muted by your fellow white FEMALE counterparts

From 4th November, there's no general day swimming until 5pm? Only specific dat sessions, for parents & toddlers? Was hoping to go during the day when it won't be packed with kids, but seems that's not possible?

If 94% of folks in ops/infra/sysadmin are men, then the remaining 6% need some role models, inspiration and community 💜 Any suggestions of accounts belonging to women or NB folks in this area?

One thought I did have is if it were a game, are the 3 angles to play. 1. Rebels trying to liberate their home. 2. Agents stopping rebels and random monsters. 3. Soldiers fighting against invasion. Offer different perspective on same setting.

It depends how organised and strong the rebels are. Can they help stop the threat, or does their existence make it worse? Do they believe its a scheme by the tyrant to maintain control or even crush the rebels? Do the rebels use it to bargain/negotiate?

I track who's put in interim roles, usually code for "they're not quite ready" or "they need to prove themselves first." And point out if they tend to be people from underrepresented groups. Because men often get promoted on potential, and women deal with .

Well I can use a slide to easily see the differences, or overlay and see what looks off. But the angle is slightly different when they took the picture, so the overlay isn't the most reliable.

Zero women won a 2019 Nobel Prize. Zero. I think it’s different committees making choices for each awards, but this still highlights just how garbage the is. Women are making high level contributions in every category & being snubbed. Welcome to being a woman in 2019.
