The first 60 minute GW of the year is tonight at 8pm on BBC2. Rachel visits Lomngmeadow and shares her brave, wise and extremely moving experiences of coping with cancer over the last year and how important gardening has been as part of her recovery.

Tomorrow's special hour long GW is very special. It includes a visit by Rachel to Longmeadow and a conversation between myself and her about the role of gardening and health and in particular her own experience of over the past year with cancer.

I visited Notre Dame 49 years ago as a 14 yr old on my first trip abroad. Staggered and enriched for ever by its beauty. Shocked and deeply saddened by this fire but feel doubly privileged to have had that youthful experience.

I see you are a student of the Zen school of mystifying and wholly nonsensical remarks. I applaud you with the sound of one hand clapping!

Because it is not a BBC book and therefore has to be seen to be a wholly separate entity. Why? Dont ask...

None. All you can do is pack them into a seed tray so they dont topple and wait until the roots bind it all together. I think they are impossible and dont use them.

The most eco-friendly thing you can do with your black (nb) plastic plant pots and seed trays is to use and treasure them so they last as long as possible. If you must buy plastic choose the strongest possible - so they last.
