So @LondonBreed can call a state of emergency for #KincaidFire evacuees but not for the homeless in her own city? Why can’t Saint Mary’s Cathedral open its doors every night to house the homeless here? 🤔

#CA
2017: homeless advocates fought for this.
Homeless shelters now allowed in churches year-round, #SanJose council decides.
Why aren't the homeless living there now? Homeless don't want to go, churches don't have enough volunteers to supervise. Why?

Because it’s much easier to help the “evacuees” than junkies. The first group just needs a temporary shelter until they pull themselves up by the bootstraps.

The SF homeless “crisis” consists of non-working junkies from other cities & states flocking to SF in droves, for free handouts. The crisis is the fact that other cities give their bums one-way tickets to SF to get them out of their hair! These are NOT displaced SF residents.

We should demand this. As a graduate of Jesuit University, I know St Ignatius and St Mary’s would be honored to help the homeless and host them every night.
