Cadets were tested on various quotes and facts relating to the Air Force, inspected on their uniforms, and showed off their skills in drill and marching during Drill Lab this week. The three flights competed for the best flight shield, with the Charlie Cowboys taking the prize!

Yesterday morning, Det. 225 participated in a Tri-Military run with the President of Notre Dame, Father Jenkins. It was 3 mile run that concluded on the field of Notre Dame Stadium! Pictured are C/ Parker, C/ Ryniak, and C/ Herberg alongside Father Jenkins

The AS100s just completed a weekend long training. At this training they learned military customs and courtesies, how to march, and worked on professional development traits. Over the course of one weekend, the completed over 40 Hours of ROTC training! Great Work AS100s!

The Class of 2023 had 15 cadets contract to start the school year! Cadet Blassingame also contracted this week making it 16 cadets! Congratulations to all of them on their great achievement. This is an astounding number and Det. 225 is very proud.

Cadet McDowell (bottom right) went to USAFA this summer through the AFAFF program where he completed 5 solo jumps from 4500 feet! Congratulations Cadet McDowell on earning your Jump Wings!

This summer, Cadet Zaccone had the amazing opportunity to go to Indiana University to learn Arabic through an USAF program called Project GO. It's an great experience for cadets studying foreign languages! Many can learn overseas, but others stay stateside.

Det 225 would like to welcome our newest Det Commander: Col. Corey Ramsby! Col. Ramsby is an AFROTC grad from Purdue and recently finished commanding the 55th Communications Group at Offutt AFB. We are looking forward to his mentorship as he leads us into the next school year!

Thank you to Col. Jim "Juice" Bowen for his past 3 years of service to Det 225. While at Det 225, he has had the honor to commission 27 USAF 2nd Lieutenants! Not enough can be said for the amount of time and energy he poured into our Detachment. Thank you, Colonel Bowen!

Last Friday, in the early hours of the morning, 14 cadets headed down to Grissom AFB to join a KC-135 crew on a training flight! Det 225 extends our thanks to the reserve pilots of the 434th Air Refueling Wing for showing us their planes and operations. It was a great experience!

Last weekend Det 225 traveled to Fort Custer in Michigan for a Field Training Exercise with 5 other detachments! Activities included drill evaluation, paintball, land navigation, dorm maintenance, and lots of practice marching and calling!

Last weekend, our cadets headed down to the home of the B-2 Spirit, Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri! Cadets had the chance to see a B-2 up close and talk to many AF members about the amazing opportunities the USAF has to offer.

Congratulations to our Cadet of the Week, Cadet Conklin! He earned a 99.5% on his biochem test which was well above the class average. He was also selected for a highly competitive Morgan Stanley SIBC project, which he will be traveling to New York City for! Great job, C/Conklin!

Congratulations to C/Safford, our Cadet of the Week here at Det 225! C/Safford swam in his first home meet for club swimming this past weekend, where he competed against 11 other schools. He placed well enough to qualify for nationals!

This past weekend, cadets braved the cold to check out a C-130 Hercules! This C-130 provided transportation for the Air Force Academy Lacrosse Team to play against Notre Dame on Saturday!
