Sen. Coons [referring to the previous deletion of improperly collected mass collection records]: "Has there been any loss in intelligence value as a result ?" NSA's Susan Morgan: "That's something that's impossible to answer." 🤦‍♂️

The NSA program had previously been closed after recent findings of: (1) Abuse in the collection of millions of records; and (2) Using those improperly obtained records to obtain additional records "pursuant to a court order"

🚨 We were concerned they would get a Patriot Act extension prior to the IG Report on FISA Abuse. Our concerns are right: they're trying to get ahead of bad news by putting the extension into a short term spending bill. They want to extend the Patriot Act until 2020.

It does appear that way. This act needs a major revisit rather than being put back in. All of congress knows it was abused. They rather spend their time in the impeach circus, knowing spying occurred with FISA abuse, rather than fix the act.
