Thanks! I always make sure each child’s work gets at least one visit to the Year 4 in term 6 of Year 3! They love it. :)

Thank you for your tweets in this thread Ian - they very much summarise my view on working walls too. I am in complete agreement that, like any aspect of a classroom, working walls must be used in a way which suits and benefits your individual children/class. :)

Popped this display up at the end of last term and forgot to share it on here. HUGE thanks to for creating such brilliant texts with brilliant authors and illustrators! Year 3 LOVED this topic and I adored planning/teaching it too.

I’ve started taking pieces of work to the Year 4 teachers/classes this term to make transitions smoother and stronger. My class are loving the recognition from me AND a Year 4 teacher in their books. This was yesterday’s piece of chosen work!

We’re almost done with measurement in Year 3 (just capacity to go) and there’s been a lot of progress made. Brilliant use of stem sentences to explain their thinking this week too!

I have so many mixed emotions about life currently. The hours of the day I’m with my 30 Year 3s are genuinely the best. I cannot be the only teacher who feels like this; I think the power a room of kids can have on how you feel is wonderful.

Not at all. Bring as many as you like! Feel free to let me know who/how many are coming but you don’t need to book. :)

Sorry for the late reply Kelly - I’ll get the arrows on my TES at some point this term as lots of people are asking for them. :)
