I totally agree. It's like dipping a toe in the pool instead of jumping totally in.

I hear ya. No easy answers but time to change for sure. It fits in the Washington football fight song if you changed names. What about the Washington Reds? Is that too strange?

Not absurd but as Daniel Murphy said, "Do you read Fangraphs?"

As you would expect. We had that conversation on the site about 33-27 being the magic number to be in. I guess Fangraphs agrees.

I like brand new projections! In a 60-game season it is a sprint to the finish. Fangraphs has the tied for 4th best record in the Majors. They also like the Mets BTW. cc:

The top -3 is understandable. The rest can be debated for sure but 8?

Who knows. Kind of strange to debate this with someone named Nationals Source. 6-7 series a season won't determine the best team head to head. The Dodgers and Cardinals both beat the Nats in head to head games in the regular series. How did that translate to the NLDS/NLCS?

Add to that the Braves beat: 1. Joe Ross (twice) 2. Austin Voth 3. Wander Suero 4. Fernando Rodney 5. Tanner Rainey 6. Sean Doolittle 7. Erick Fedde for 8 of those 11 losses. Also, correction, Nats won 2 games by 1 run.

I don't know which games you were watching. The season series was 11-8. The Nats lost 5 games by 1 run and 2 of those 5 games were lost in extra innings. Nats only won 1 game by 1 run. Those games go either way in small sample sizes. Continued....
