# of positive cases reported by TN labs grew by 9%. 4th day in a row we've had single digit growth. # of tests performed grew by same %, with the same % of tests positive. %hospitalized, %dead, %recovered was constant.

New cases took 6+ days to double to today's total up from the "4+ days to double trend" we were on a week ago (a good thing). An even more positive sign is the relatively small increase in hospitalizations the last two days (+18 and +17).

The number of cases in TN continues to grow exponentially, but at about a third of the rate (~8%/day) it was growing two weeks ago (39%/day). At this pace, 10K total cases is still possible as early as 4/18.

Here's how TN compares to other states. Generally, the denser states are doing worse. But there are exceptions. Let me know if there are other states that should be on this chart. These are states I have a connection with.

Yes it’s much easier to keep track of the cases in my county when you report like you have been doing instead of like today.
