This is leadership. After a long speech Kobe took time to congratulate my wife on her pregnancy and wish her good luck on training post delivery. He was Cheyna’s favorite athlete growing up. My son was born on 8/24. Thanks Brother 🙏🏾

I met once in Santa Monica as he was signing autographs and taking photos with a mob of fans. I watched as he gave each and every one of them his undivided attention. He then smiled and shook my hand and said, “Nice to meet you.” A gentleman as well as a legend. RIP

LA County Sheriff rightly slams TMZ for breaking the Kobe news before his family could be informed. They are a despicable organization.

Kobe always showed up for us. He was there before 2015. He continued to be there after 2019. We’ll miss you and we’ll miss Gigi. Rest In Peace, friend. We’ll carry that Mamba Mentality forever.

Kobe was so much more than an athlete, he was a family man. That was what we had most in common. I would hug his children like they were my own and he would embrace my kids like they were his. His baby girl Gigi was born on the same day as my youngest daughter Me’Arah.

Kobe was a legend on the court and just getting started in what would have been just as meaningful a second act. To lose Gianna is even more heartbreaking to us as parents. Michelle and I send love and prayers to Vanessa and the entire Bryant family on an unthinkable day.

A few weeks ago in Newport Beach Kobe witnessed a major accident and stayed to comfort victims and redirect traffic until help arrived. This man wasn’t only the GOAT on the court but as a human being as well. Mamba Mentality Forever.

Terrible things happen every day, but when someone like Kobe — who seemed so untouchable, so omnipresent and larger than life — is taken away it really drives home how absolutely nothing is guaranteed and our time here is pretty precious
