Not long after crewing up with PC Green we stopped a car that was being driven erratically. The driver had taken prescription sedatives and failed the impairment test resulting in him being arrested 🚔

A driver has been charged with causing the death of a cyclist near . Antoney Colley was cycling along the A2690 Combe Valley Way on 26 May when the tragic incident occurred. Mathew Gardiner, 34, from Bexhill, will appear in court next month.

My thoughts... - Spitting at / biting officers is not acceptable - Use of SBG may not look good, but is lower use of force than alternatives inc restraint to stop spitting / biting - Met SBG have been medically tested - They r used in direct proportion to those who spit / bite

On the drive back from HQ I witnessed a driver using their mobile phone and then a Motorcycle riding dangerously on the 👀👮‍♂️ Not in a position to stop so the Rider will be receiving a letter in the post soon ✉️

The 12 of us on the Traffic Patrol Officers Course are now trained in vehicle prohibition. This means that if we encounter a vehicle in a dangerous condition we can prevent it from moving any further ❌⛔️⚠️🔧

The unmarked bike is fitted with cameras front and rear which capture evidence of the offence we are dealing with! Another motorist was caught this morning using his phone while driving in . Don't let a fatal collision be the cause to stop you from using it!
