Good to hear Guy Verhofstadt confirm at Home Affairs Committee that his earlier statement about there being no great obstacle to indy Scotland joining EU was simply “fact”.

You mean all the 35 chapters Scotland already complies with or are you referring to one area in particular that might become problematic after independence? It certainly seems to fill you with enough glee about your nation being incapable that you're using 2 grinning emoticons.

So while there could be a huge problem with Irish internal border there cannot be a problem with the British internal border. Do Remainers ever stop even to think what they are being peddled is gibberish?

That border wouldn't be internal. It would be a border between two independent countries. The hard border in Ireland would be in contravention of a treaty between the UK and an EU member, which is why the EU are interested. No such treaty exists on the Scottish border.

Tory whips had obviously seen earlier answer to , checked and found he had indeed previously said we’d get in no problem, warned Tories on Home Affairs Cttee to avoid the question, and piled in with both feet anyway 😂

Can’t meet 3% figure, can’t join under Sterlingisation, the SNP’s decade plus AUSTERITY option. Ask him again.

But that has always been the case. If you meet the criteria, you get in. All you wll have to do is clear the hurdles, but Scotland will not follow you.
