While I served in the army and deployed to Iraq for the first Gulf War, we were taught that we were a team. We depended on each other for survival. We didn't care how each grew up or our background. We were brothers. We served one another. A great lesson for today.

Today is a palindrome, meaning it is the same when read forwards and backwards. 02/02/2020. Hasn't happened since 11/11/1111 and won't happen again until 12/12/2121. I think I will celebrate by eating wings and watching a football game.

I had the opportunity to watch MM play in high school in Hawaii at Saint Louis School. He did not start at QB until his senior year. He then won the Heisman Trophy in 2014. A class individual who understands what it means to be part of a team. Much respect!

As an educator, I believe my purpose in life is to help end hatred and educate the importance of inclusiveness and diversity. We are stronger when we understand the background and beliefs of others.
