The issue is not whether the child's nappy is being changed or whether it is being fed. The trauma occurs when the child is separated from its primary caregiver. There is a wealth of evidence to show what that trauma does to children.

UPDATE: 43 senators now support our bill to bar children from being taken from their parents at the border. We still need a Republican senator to join. If you’re represented by a Republican senator, please ask them to cosponsor S.3036.

According to a shocking report, about 2,000 children have been separated from their families. That's an average of 45 kids a day. This is a human rights abuse. This Administration must stop breaking up families.

Of course it happened inside your head, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real? Hope you had a fun time at home x

Unkindness breeds more unkindness. Kindness leads to more kindness. Let’s try to be kind to ourselves and each other, folks. The world can always use more love.

is for those kids like me, who watch their parents struggle. Who feel as if poverty has stripped all of their power away. I see you. I understand. Please, keep going. It can get better.

This Administration's immigration policies are outrageous, cruel, and inhumane. Proactively working to break up immigrant families is putting these kids' lives in danger. We need to put a stop to this. Members of the Administration should come testify on this inhumane policy.

Paul Ryan who fights to cut social security and raise the retirement age to 70 is retiring at the age of 48. He used social security benefits to pay for college and will now get a full pension! America’s hypocrite!

When my parents got on a boat the day before Saigon fell, they didn’t know the rules. Int’l law or where borders were drawn meant little when you’re scared & desperate—to hear ppl say children deserve to be torn from their parents because asylum-seekers broke the law is sickening

The ritualized dehumanization of a minority population was the first step toward genocide in Nazi Germany. The world has seen this kind of rhetoric about immigrants - and this kind of brutal, cruel treatment of women and children. This isn’t a warning sign. It’s a crisis.
