I'm just here to be inspired (and inspire). I love to make wee films with nice people (who also aim to inspire). I occasionally speak in a visual language.

Wow! Really? I’ll have to dig the CD out when I get back. At at mo. I shouted out for that track last night THREE TIMES when he eventually gave in and said he’d have to play it with the band in 2 keys at the same time! 😂 Boundless talent

I remember driving with David during the Aladdin Sane tour. He would listen to Aretha intently in preparation for the YOUNG AMERICANS album where her influence on his singing was so deep. There must be some incredible choir going on up there now…

Miles Davis released “Kind of Blue” on this day, 17th August 1959. Last track on side two - “All Blues”, here from Milan, in 1964. Are we saying Herbie, Ron, Wayne & Tony? I’m not 100% sure.

Aretha helped define the American experience. In her voice, we could feel our history, all of it and in every shade—our power and our pain, our darkness and our light, our quest for redemption and our hard-won respect. May the Queen of Soul rest in eternal peace.

Tonight I saw one of my great song writing heroes play. I also got to meet and have a brief chat with him. I can't tell you how special that was for me. He wrote some of the most precious songs in my life. He is one of the people who made me want to write songs.

I'm going to stop using the c-word for a bit on here, as I have been over-using it recently. But before I do: the way he over-says "some tea" here, so absurdly convinced of his own lovable posh maverick-ness, is just unbelievably cunty.
