I believe it was largely due to me & others in extracting a committment from all three main party leaders tbefore the 2010 general election to end child detention.

Thanks for calling this out - as someone with Gypsy heritage myself I am acutely aware of how racism towards Gypsy, Roma & Traveller communities is mainstream in the UK, & committed to helping address it.
