Favourite excerpt from the Collin’s Field Guide - excellent advice all round frankly. Any other gems from birding publications that you’ve come across?

I'll be on at 0840 talking about new regulation of gamebird releases to protect sites of nature conservation value. Pity DEFRA not on too to claim the credit for this move (forced on them by legal challenge) but@CA_TimB can thank us.

Yet another leak from shadowy “govt sources”, fuelling a weekend of anxiety & speculation before any definitive announcement. Can really not see how undermining of public trust this tiresome headline management becomes? How cynical & counterproductive?

Excellent! Fingers crossed the same excellent publisher will take it! Lovely to have readers in the Netherlands - in English or Dutch. One of my very first books, Attracting Birds to your Garden, was published in Dutch as "A Jay on your Lawn', informed me!
