I added a little homegrown ground fennel seeds to my current batch of tooth powder, very tasty.

Great to see Lee at his gorgeous at today. The planting is gorgeous & he’s snuck in some edibles too.

Enviromesh. They can’t get tangled up in it and it lasts for years and years. I’ve got some over my blueberries - birds are eating their share of everything else - the blueberries are mine!!

First ripe plums and more to come! This Lizzie St Julien is always the first plum tree in my garden to produce fruit. So sweet and delicious. This tree grows against the fence, making the most of the space in my back garden.

When making your own compost check that any brought in material - straw, hay, neighbour's grass mowings - have not been sprayed.

Certainly has been hot, not especially humid though thankfully. I had to shift 30 sacks of compost and 4 pallets.

- how does the bookshop where I work get in touch with you to discuss selling Charred? It would be ideal for here, they cook on fire!
