This morning I chaired the first ever digital Cabinet. Our message to the public is: stay at home, protect the NHS, save lives.

You’ve just published the Cabinet’s Zoom ID number. Isn’t this a security risk?

If anyone wants to join the 2pm Cabinet Zoom call tomorrow, the password is “HerdImmunity”. And if you were wondering, because Matt Hancock is self-isolating he has converted the broom cupboard into an office.

Someone in the Cabinet Room also posted a photo with the Zoom ID on it. I hope the computers the Cabinet are using at home are fully secure. Also, Zoom not only has the right to extract data from its users & their meetings but also to share it with Google & other ad networks.

Depends on whether it is a meeting ID or the personal zoom ID.

Using Zoom is a security risk. It’s concerning the UK government is using it at all.

100%. How the highest officials in the country are using Zoom at all is beyond me. Zoom show blatant disregard for security/privacy and shouldn’t have even been a contender. It doesn’t even have full E2E encryption on video.
