Hi Nick Drivers of the fire engines only use the blues in order to warn people they are coming and give them time to move. If the way is clear they may not have the blues on but can still be going to an emergency

We've been to 14 road traffic collisions in the last seven days. Unfortunately these resulted in nine injuries and one tragic fatality. Please take extra care on the road. We want you to get where you're going safely. It is better to arrive late than never.
