Hi Kath, as a fire service we would advise not to just because there is always the risk it could get out of control. Campsites usually have their own rules and regulations so please check with them.

If you know someone over 60 who uses emollients and smokes, ensure they know the risks. Clothing and fabric with dried on creams, lotions and ointments become highly flammable. ➡️

Animal rescues can be dangerous for rescue crews, owners and vets. Having a vet on scene to sedate animals prior to a rescue reduces those risks. At this incident today the vet was able to treat an injured hind leg before the took the pair away to safety.

Specialist water rescue and animal rescue crews from and have rescued these two abandoned horses from a garden pond in Pattingham. With support from and a vet the pair have been safely removed. Great team work from all involved

Crews from Cheadle and Longton are dealing with a property fire in Cheadle. 1 Dog and 1 bird have been removed from smoke filled premises. All persons accounted for. 1 Dog is receiving oxygen therapy.
