The below can all do similar work to the term "purification" minus neurotic scrupulosity: reconciliation, harmonization, combinatoric optimization, wholeheartedness, unity, "liking, wanting, desiring, hoping, wishing, longing, thirsting, craving all pulling in same direction", &c

I agree it's possible to become a better person. It takes time and effort, it's worth the trouble, and we can never get to the end of it. Meditation can play a role. For me, it helps to keep the language simple.
