This week is the 50th Conservation Week. Here at Parliament we have several trees that are more than 100 years old. The large pohutukawa by the Seddon statue, the elm tree at the Lambton Quay entrance, the oak tree behind Parliament House, and the two Norfolk Pines on the lawn.

Cross Valley Link will significantly reduce Petone and Esplanade traffic. Having said that i agree we have to also have a comprehensive transport policy. Much more park and ride. More feeder buses. Bike lanes.
