Perhaps you could join your son in another strategy session at Mar a Lago. I know two people who need gone, long ago.

Great news from Kluane and Mt. Logan. My friend, Neil Murphy, was able to get down to the 11k strip and be flown off Mt. Logan without need of a rescue. No word on any frostbite etc but he is safe and off the mountain!

The Gulf of Tonkin incident is now widely considered as a manufactured pretext for involvement in Vietnam, even by the US Naval Institute. Remember this when you hear of the next justification for another oil war by the same war hawks in another gulf.

An update for those of you asking about my friend, Neil Murphy on Mt. Logan. They hope to get evacuated tomorrow, holed up presently at 16k, Neil's condition is no worse and he slept through the night. Weather is still unflyable acc. to Kluane Rangers.

It's very cold up there and looks like Friday is the only true "clear" day.

Neil is having respiratory issues. Their stove is broken and weather is unflyable. Neil is 62 years old. Don't know if he is on Dex or not. He's with a pharmacist, Neil is an MD. They are trying to get to a lower altitude, so he is moving.

Thanks Neal. His wife is really concerned. Looks like the temps are 15 below zero with snow showers there today. Tomorrow may be their only day to escape and break trail. You know how that is.

My dear friend and climbing buddy, Dr. Neil Murphy, is presently hunkered down in a snow cave at 18K after summitting Mt. Logan. It is a bad storm and they are exhausted. Send some love their way.
