After a few months working on this long-term project, Bachmann Bill & Ben are very happy to have the classic Lynton & Barnstaple china clay open wagons, ready for the clay pits! ⚱️🛠️🧰 These are Slater's Plastikard 7mm NG white metal kits, all modified & custom painted! 🖌️

In addition to the well-known L&B's late 4T open wagon, I aquired a few of the smaller early 4T wagons as well, and colored them as in the & Learning Curve Wooden Railway china clay cars! I really like the look as more private-owners wagons, & could do w/ decals!

More pics of the Lynton & Barnstaple china clay wagons detailing construction 📐🖌️ My 2nd entry in white metal kits, I recommend as moderate/advanced for scratch-builders. Do some research before tackling. Cleaning+test fitting parts & using strong glue/solder is essential.

You are too good at modelling and weathering. TOO good. I either need to hire you or take you down.

I know you're trying to be funny but this is lame. A hobby is not a competition. If you're serious about commissions or paying $2000 for a custom Rosie, I recommend you check your social life & your priorities. Save your $, get an education & a paying job to afford what you want.

Think you'll do them the same as the Learning Curve toys or something more along the lines of the Ffarqhuar Quarry Co. rolling stock in the books? The former feels reminiscent of private owner wagons like S.C. Ruffey or Fred Pelhay, while the latter matches up with Bill and Ben.

Bearing that in mind, they look different in the illustrations and with better lettering. I'd make an original Sodor China Clay design reminiscent to that look or the Twin's SCC on their tanks, and keep them separate from the FQC wagons for the clay pits.
