The Antechamber to the Breakfast Room contains a number of small scale bronzes. This small 17th century bronze statuette, depicted as a classical warrior or gladiator, wields a contemporary 17th century sabre and a double-curved dueling shield.

This picture plane is rarely opened - we usually open the larger picture planes adjacent to reveal Hogarth's Rake's Progress. Behind it are kept several Piranesi works, and a beautiful Gandy depiction of the Bank of England in Ruins.
