Edward Snowden
The weakness of the US charge against Assange is shocking. The allegation he tried (and failed?) to help crack a password during their world-famous reporting has been public for nearly a decade: it is the count Obama's DOJ refused to charge, saying it endangered journalism.

He skipped bail on rape charges, that case can now be resumed. Protest the US charges but unless you ALSO call for him to face trial for rape, you're implying that his status as a charged rapist is less important than his status as a victim of US overreach - how about HIS victim?

Let's not forget that did NOTHING to free Julian Assange... because his co-criminal-in-arms, wanted Julian Assange to be assassinated. The Obama DOJ was corrupt-to-the-core.

The US legal system is there to protect the US government, hide its secrets and enforce its will. It is NOT there to protect the little people or their 'rights' - that's just a tired, old marketing campaign. Journalism and free speech? Yeah, that too...

The American media (and that of its vasal states) are gloating about the arrest of a journalist who exposed war crimes. Although I doubt they could go lower, they'll probably prove me wrong.
