Edward Snowden
Images of Ecuador's ambassador inviting the UK's secret police into the embassy to drag a publisher of--like it or not--award-winning journalism out of the building are going to end up in the history books. Assange's critics may cheer, but this is a dark moment for press freedom.

For the folks reflexively saying "there weren't any secret police!", here's the reporter who was on the ground saying some of the arresting officers had been staking out the embassy in plain clothes for days.

The secret police, secretively announcing that they're secretly arresting him and putting him in their secret police van with "police" written on it

He is not a journalist. He is not a "political hero" and he's not a "whistle blower". He's a coward, a criminal and a bitter old man who has sides with Putin against the West to help undermine democracies & strengthen white supremacy. Trump loves him. Any thinking person does not

He has sexual assault charges & should have been charged when he outed gay militia to their government who torture & murder gay people. He spreads lies & misinformation under the guise of "leaking official sources". He is a dangerous chaos agent not a heroic journalist martyr

Being a “journalist” does not mean one can 1) Allegedly sexually assault people 2) Skip bail on the related case. Speaking of freedom of expression, any thoughts for the dissidents in that helped get jailed?
