Reminder that we’ve taken progressive organizing straight into Trump country, rallied 5,000 people in the middle of a workday, and can do it again. In time, not a single GOP seat should be taken for granted. Wherever there‘s working people, we can win.🗳

I always come back to junior year literature seminar, reading Hamlet—some students got hung up on circumstances of appearances of the ghost of Hamlet’s father. A stoner who as yet had said little suddenly piped in: “There are no RULES for ghosts! They’re GHOSTS.”

Am watching "... And Justice for All," with Al Pacino, a film I'd not seen till now. It's made me think of a famous New York judge, Edwin Torres, and his classic, chilling line in sentencing a convicted murderer: "Your parole officer has not yet been born."

Corrupt. Illegal. Immoral. And yet no one is surprised.

Ilhan Omar is a leader with strength and courage. She won't back down to Trump's racism and hate, and neither will we. The disgusting and dangerous attacks against her must end.

The President is inciting violence against a sitting Congresswoman—and an entire group of Americans based on their religion. It's disgusting. It's shameful. And any elected leader who refuses to condemn it shares responsibility for it.

Not another summary. Not a big book of redactions. We need to see the full Mueller report.

I didn’t go to journalism school. But If “racist” is more accurate than “racially charged,” say it. If “incompetent” is more on point than “chaotic” write it. If “corrupt” is more accurate than “norm breaking,” use it. Imagine you’re a foreign correspondent and write that way.

After 9/11 we all said we were changed. That we were stronger and more united. That’s what “never forget” was about. Now, a president uses that dark day to incite his base against a member of Congress, as if for sport. As if we learned nothing that day about the workings of hate.

As a New Yorker, I think my city should welcome asylum seekers sent our way. Not only that, it should buy property to house those waiting for their status to be determined. A stretch of Fifth Ave. at 57th St. would be a perfect location. Also Columbus Circle.

Nantucket actually throngs in the summer with foreign workers doing tough jobs. Tucker Carlson perhaps doesn’t notice who’s cutting the lawn and washing the dishes.

Are you outraged, scared, or triggered by what Donald Trump and his supporters are saying about ? Join me in donating to her campaign TODAY so they can pay for a security detail or anything else she needs to stay safe & stay in Congress.

President Trump understands the weight his words carry. His tweet about Congresswoman Ilhan Omar puts her life & her family’s lives at risk. Our outrage should be nonpartisan. That it’s not will only give him license to continue to incite violence.

Not surprisingly, right-wing sites are headlining Barr statement as "Obama spied on Trump." His loose language and inappropriate references are reprehensible.
