Starting a wine course tomorrow, the first if a few I have planned this year. If I end up talking even more about wine, are you all gonna abandon me?

I would be happier with it if it didn't directly affect my earnings 🙂 but you're right, there's no point forcing yourself to work if you can't

I got very little done today so I'm cleaning in order to have a fresh start and good intentions tomorrow. I'm going with the idea that shutting the laptop and admitting defeat for today is "brave" and "clever" and "self-care" and definitely not "lazy"

Yes! If everyone is treating dining out as a whole experience these days, surely that experience should be a comfortable one?

I feel terrible about this but until the convos today I hadn't thought deeply about how music/bad acoustics in restaurants can cause so many problems for diners and drinkers. I love twitter sometimes!

I mentioned this earlier while talking about the same thing, but I would love for more bars and casual/relaxed restaurants to have drinks and food/snack menus available on paper as well as on a board or the wall. If I'm not wearing my glasses they may as well have no menu at all.

Having a long conversation about the woes of restaurant acoustics and I wonder, what would your ideal restaurant have to make your dining experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible?

I just wrote out a tweet describing exactly how I'm feeling and then paused to wonder if it was too intensely personal, then cut + pasted it into the book I'm writing instead. I may have reached peak frustrated writer.
